As far as I know, the Bible never condemns homosexual people. It only condemns homosexual acts.

And even if it [the Bible] condemned homosexual people, we have no right to harass them. Because homosexuality would just be one sin more, and we are all sinners, so the law must be enforced equally. Arguing that homosexuality is a sin isn't enough to punish it. Not even in a theocracy. Because then no one (not even me or the Pope) would be free from the "sin punishment" as no human is perfect.

My stance on homosexuality is, yes, it is a sin. Just like everyone else sins of gluttony, lust, wrath, lying, gossiping, blasphemy... God has a plan for them, and therefore no sinner deserves earthly punishment. But I do not support gay marriage, because doing so makes me an active promoter of homosexuality. And the idea is to correct the evil ways, not make them worse right? So, I neither approve homosexuality neither I punish it. I just politely oppose it, just like I oppose any other sin, but believe in the Salvation of the sinner.

The only sin I would actually have a penalty imposed on, is blasphemy, in which I have considered placing fines on law breakers. And all the others, murder, steal, rape, which are sins that affect and harm other human beings.

How in the world do you know? And where did you get that idea?

EDIT: I'm sorry if I may have seemed rude, but that statement is quite, well, bold for one who isn't Christian, as far as I know. Please, explain further.

There is no religious work that condemns homosexuality.

Somewhere in the Old Testament it does say "If a man lies with another man as one lies with a woman, then he has sinned greviously against the Lord." The Bible is definitely a religious work, and it definitely condemns homosexuality.

That is like saying the Earth is flat. Prove your statement.

And yes, the Catholic Church has always known the Earth is round.
