Hillary Clinton

This is not the time for a third party.

I would be very happy, at some point in the future, to support a Catholic party, or something of that nature. However, even if one existed today, I would not support it, because it is our moral and patriotic duty to support the candidate that most fits our views.

We cannot allow Hillary Clinton to become President unless we are willing to accept the changes that would come with her presidency. She, I expect, would allow all sorts of travesties to be made the law - euthanasia, perhaps? Partial-birth abortion? Transgender rights? Open borders? Illegal alien amnesty? Legalized polygamy - oh, how the Mormons would be happy to "pivot" back towards their polygamous days of old.

We have to support Donald Trump - we must, for instance, build the wall to stop illegal entry into the country. We must in addition balance the budget, pay back the national debt (perhaps 25 cents on the dollar), rebuild the military, overturn Roe v. Wade and Obergefell v. Hodges, and so on. After Donald Trump's two terms (or one term) has expired, then I expect we ought to make Mr. Cruz the President - it is only natural. And, perhaps, after that, we can elect a good Catholic to be president to finish the job. The Constitution could be amended to make Christianity the official religion by that time.

You didn't really answer any of my post. Voting for a third-party outside of a swing state wouldn't actually stop Trump or get Hillary in, but it would encourage them in the next election cycle to consider libertarian or green or Catholic ideas to try and get more votes onside.

In the next election - perhaps. But in this election we cannot afford to have any votes siphoned off from Donald Trump - especially if the election is as close as it was in 2000.

I don't know whether I should be angry or even surprised at all that you might support an openly racist bigot for President. If you go to the voting booth and your only two choices are different colors of guano (let's say one green with nuts in it, the other is brown with corn), then I might write in a third name, knowing I didn't contribute to the nuclear meltdown that these two candidates represent. Both have openly lied about some very important topics, one in particular lied regarding national security and when Americans lost their lives in another country. The other talks about making things better for the American people, but doesn't talk about American jobs going overseas because it's cheaper and better for their top dollar. By no means do I support one or the other, I'm merely saying you're absolutely nuts for demanding human rights to not just take a couple steps back, but to actually get in the car and drive back down the freeway into the previous state.

If you want people to lose rights they have fought hard for then you best buy an island somewhere and live there by yourself, because the world will not go back into the darkness whence it came. Ever notice how both candidates have had death threats?

I hate to get off topic, but may I remind Markus that the Church of Jesus Christ and Latter Day Saints (LDS) or otherwise known as "Mormons" does not support polygamy and is against gospel doctrine. I would like to advise him that other sects of Mormonism does polygamy however the LDS church does not. On behalf of LDS micronationalists and many religious micronationalists in this community, I would like to ask Markus to stop attacking other people's religions.

It did support polygamy, and will support it again if it is ever legalized.

So, I'm not a Trump fan by any means, but after watching that video, none of the things he said struck me as particularly racist. Ignorant? Poorly worded? Incorrect? A somewhat distorted opinion? anecdotal generalizations? Yeah, sure... but that isn't the same as racist... even reading the comments on the page no one seems to think that it was racist. Even the minorities posting didn't think it was racist.

Personally, living in California, any conservative vote that I cast would be like trying to counter a tidal wave with a supersoaker, so I am seriously considering casting a ballot for Gary Johnson and hoping for the best.
