Is America going to collapse and never come up again?
#1
I have felt a lost spirit for my country. I can't even sleep or breathe at night. It consumes me at least a couple days a week, I can't go without thinking that something really bad is going to happen, that will even cost many of innocent lives. I'm talking about the end of America, I'm turning sick because I know it's going to happen in my lifetime, even if it doesn't happen in my life, things will only turn worse instead of getting better. I sometimes start to feel that I'm the only "angry enough" person out there, even in my generation.

There are American civilians that are gathering military grade equipment and hardware, you are not the only "angry enough person out there." However, having said that it is my firm belief that while something may happen in the future -near or far I am not sure- it is my belief that the American media is drastically fanning the flames of panic over anything bad to increase the fear over it, because it gains them higher ratings. I've read about people visiting America and being shocked at how depressing the news is, always something bad being told in the news, but like I said "I've read," so I cannot speak from experience, and there are enough Americans on here to either back up or deny what I'm saying.

You'll be fine. All else fails, move to Canada (although Madrona is obviously super awesome and therefore better ;))

I can tell you this: America will fall at some point. The way that this country is being run is going more and more corrupt by the week. I fear for Election Day this year. I am almost certain that no matter the outcome of this next election, there will be a rebellion at least once. You also are not nearly the only person angry about this. There are many American secessionist micronations on here, including my own (that might be something you should be aware of when we talk about your wanting to be a Hodinian citizen). I, and I know many other people too that share this thought, am extremely unhappy about the American government. It's almost embarrassing to be an American nowadays. If I let out my true feelings about America, well, I might be breaking a forum rule or two, as well as breaking one of my own rules (I don't cuss), so this is my censored version.

Don't really care about the USA. Why do you think I'm so keen to leave it?

You'd be well and fine to say your feelings like "Cheese and crackers! This government is full of gosh darn do-diddly fiddly unkind people!"

When trying to prevent yourself from cursing, embrace your inner Ned Flanders.

A couple jokes:

"If pros and cons are opposite, what's the opposite of Congress? Answer --->
"

And here's one my friend came up with:

"Hiroshima got nuked and blasted to shreds, and nowadays they're a sprawling metropolis. Meanwhile, Detroit is, well, Detroit. The moral of the story? Cities bounce back from nuclear fallout better than they do from Democrat politics."

My honest opinion is that all nations, all governments, will collapse eventually. History has proven over and over again that countries do not last forever. The oldest government still in existence is San Marino, whose current constitution has been in place continuously since 1600. That's only 416 years old, which compared to some things like the Roman Empire (from Julius Cesar to Constantine XI) was 1,480 years. And yet, it still collapsed eventually. No country can be so great, or so noble, as to outlive the inevitable decline.

Is America declining? I believe so. Is this decline synonymous with collapse? No. The truth is the United States is stable enough to ward off potential governmental catastrophes, and is not at risk of invasion from an outside entity. But I still don't like America.

Growing up as the daughter of a Marine Corps officer, a combat veteran of both Gulf Wars, you are indoctrinated with what the United States of America stands for. The hatred and animosity that I have witnessed this past year, which has been partly incited by Donald Drumpf (#MAKEDONALDDRUMPFAGAIN), has completely destroyed any conception I once had of the greatness that is America. Between that and BS laws passed in my own state (North Carolina) that prevent me from using the fracking toilet, these events led me to pull the Starland Republic and New Pamlico from the ashes. The project, after being dead for 22 months, was revitalized and regoaled as an attempt to jump ship and get as far away from American hypocrisy as I possibly could. My friends and fellow citizens of DNS believe in this purpose. And I could preach all day about how Raoul Island is a great place for me and my hippie friends to help out the ecology, but the reality is DNS was founded in a loss of hope.

America, I have no doubt, will outlive this election in November, but if Drumpf is elected, it will become a land not of promise, but of misery and despair. I cannot in good conscience continue to reside in a nation that has chosen for itself a leader that embodies everything that is wrong with humanity. That is why I am leaving for a paradise on the other side of the world. A little known island known to some as Sunday, to some as Raoul, and to me and my friends as the Democratia of New Starland.

I live in Illinois.

Bankrupt (or pretty close), a lazy legislature, stupid laws.

Then there's Chicago. I won't go into depth on that.

The legislature is the reason my dad almost lost his job (multiple times), and they can just get away with it. They're required by law to pass a budget and they went two years straight with nothing. There's also the 5 jailed governors. America is going downhill, and I'll be so happy the day Hodiny earns its much needed independence.

If Hodiny could become independent. Striving for sovereign independence is a tough order, but I'm sure history has more optimistic stories. I'm not discouraging you, I'm doing the total opposite.

I have been hearing conspiracy theories lately, that does with the United States's 2016 November election, and if either side wins then well simply stated, the Second American Civil War is to occur. So if the US is bound to collapse or survive its this supposed war that will test the will of the American people.
