Also, you may wish to reduce the size of the images in your signature. They get in the way of the flow of the thread structure, and usually if you don't change it, the admins will just change it for you with less care as to how nice it may look.

Thank you, I have reduced my signature image size. I am from the Nottinghamshire area, how about you?

You cannot possibly be ignorant of the idea that you will immediately be associated with Nazi Germany, and that might prove problematic, if not outright repulsive, even though you profess to be a fascist state. Of course, in case actually want to be associated with Nazi Germany, well, then, I don't really know what to say about that.

Well, even if its any of your concern whoever we are related to or not (its not), You will be open to understand different peoples have different beliefs and I hope you will respect the way I think about my micro-nation. I am sorry if our Fascist views offend you, friend. Our flag is has a swastika on it because we respect the strength and iron fists of the Nazis of the 1940s. We do not represent anything they have done at all, keep that in mind.

It is not my concern. I was asking a question and making you aware that a perceived (or in this case, actual) association with Nazi Germany would not come over well. Its hard to really distinguish between the Nazi characteristics that you admire and the Nazi actions which you profess not to emulate, considering their "strength and iron fists" are directly correlated with oppression, conquest, and genocide. Your fascist views don't offend me. I am not wholly against some basic fascist views - things like nationalism and sovereign economic policies. I am, however, wholly against the fascism of Nazi Germany that manifested itself into national socialism, nationalization of the private property of oppressed people, ruthless conquest and tyrannization of neighbors, and ultimately the ethnic cleansing of occupied Europe. No matter what fairy tales you want to tell yourself, by having the swastika on your flag, that is what you will be associated with.

As you said, it is your micronation, and your beliefs, but you might want to explain a bit more in depth what exactly your beliefs are, or people will see your flag and jump to conclusions. I don't even have an issue displaying the swastika, given the right context. I actually have two displayed in my home. One is on the cover of an 1898 edition of a Rudyard Kipling book, denoting the Hindu symbol for harmony... the other was taken from a German officer my grandfather killed storming the beaches of Normandy.

Right, no. What you're doing is just starting unnecessary drama. There is no need for any of this. You need to realise, people have their thoughts on everything and you just need to bottle up with opinion on it sometimes because it may come across as an offence to another person/micro-nation. I'm sorry if our flag comes across as Nazi supporters flag, we simply aren't.

Right... the guy with the swastika on his flag isn't a Nazi supporter. Good luck explaining that, because you still haven't established how you can support the qualities of Nazi Germany, but not their actions... the two went somewhat hand in hand.

As far as unnecessary drama and keeping opinions bottled up? Nah. look, I gave you the benefit of the doubt and said that with the swastika on your flag you would be associated with the Nazis, and you might want to consider a change... you replied that you were all about being associated with the Nazis, but somehow, not in a bad way... which I still don't get.

I think that you're a troll. You came on here with a Nazi flag fully intending to start something and then play innocent when people call you out on it.

There are lots of fascist micronations on this forum, mostly run by intelligent, thoughtful, and ambitious people that i respect. there have even been discussions of the pros and cons of the Weimar Republic (spoiler, there were more cons)

it may prove difficult for people to take you seriously with a swastika on your flag... which is odd considering there are other flags that consist of smiley faces or poorly drawn cartoons, and all of these are productive, thriving micronations.

In the mean time, good luck with your invasion of Poland. You might want to stay clear of Russia though. it didn't work out that great last time.

I think it might be best if both parties agreed to simply walk away from the situation, at least for the time being, and allow this potential build up to cease.

In the mean time, Mr. Benjamin, can you tell us about what sort of things you'd like to accomplish through your micronation, or even the reason for starting it? As in, are you doing this for simulation, educational, or secessionist purposes? Or perhaps some other reason?

Call me a troll? Well, how dare you. I am nothing of the kind, I am serious about this. I will be ignoring you from now on, sir.

Ah! Well my friend, you may think due to our Fascists views we would want to 'rule over everybody and be an overall vile person' well thats not the case at all. My goals throughout this adventure will be to forum alliances so we can all become stronger together. One large micro-nation is always better than one my friend.

Perhaps, but there have been others with that view. We dealt with them >:) In all seriousness, you might find a few people willing to make alliances, but I would highly recommend that physical trade be a part of all alliances you make. Most alliances around here are simply "Hey, we officially recognize that you actually exist," as if that wasn't already obvious. But you haven't exactly answered my first question: what do you want to do with Latine? What do you want Latine to look like in five years, even if you haven't been able to make any alliances?
