Also, let's not forget the actions undertaken in the name of God; uncounted crusades, millions of deaths, terror acts, wars, corruption and so on.

As a Christian, I can safely say that the faith it has just as much, if not more, blood on its hands than Islam. That doesn't go to say that all Christians are personally responsible, but neither are Muslims personally responsible for everything written in their holy text or every action committed in Allah's name. You need to accept that Christianity and Islam are equally depraved and broken, but both have majorities that only work towards coexistence and peace.

Well, in it's time Christianity (and Judaism) were hostile religions, yes, and notice that all religions, when new to existence, tend to be aggresive and "terrorist". Islam is 500 years younger than Christianity and 3000 years younger than Judaism, so I concluded most religions when "new" in the world begin hostile and with time they become peaceful and like how they should be. Eventually these radical groups like Al-Qaeda will mature up and conclude their actions are pointless... That's what I think could happen. Compare Islam to middle-age Christianity, and after they become non aggresive, they will be blamed for the deaths of millions of people just like Christians... In the Bible (Old Testament) there are some violent sayings too. Chech the books of Exodus and Leviticus for some violent laws.

That's.... exactly what I was saying?

Like all religions I wish they were never created and disappeared immediately from the face of the planet and all eternity but again as with all religions I wish for all people to freely practice there beliefs as long as it does not affect others, the environment or there children's freedom to choose religion. Sadly Islam has a strong radical movement who take the Koran more literally than radicals of other religions take there respective holy books. Although in the past these other religions have been more radical e.g Crusades, Bosnian Genocide and Holocaust.

Islam is fine-- it's the way some people interpret it that is terrible. They twist it, and they end up being just as bad as the christian crusaders.

Islam itself would not be a problem. The problem is jihad and their laws regarding other religions.
Of course I would be happy if the misguided sheep would convert back to Christianity or Zoroastrism.

Being 100% Hindu.

I view Islam as a horribly twisted, corrupted, and mutant form of Christianity when Mohammed encountered it at it's worst in the Arabian Peninsula: heretics. I mean no offense to the Muslims on this thread, but I think that if Mohammed had learned orthodox Christianity, he never would have made Islam.
